Flying out of Kotzebue, Jim provided us with a breathtaking, soaring view of the wild and peaceful heart of both Kobuk Valley National Park and Gates of the Arctic National Park. Took a flightseeing tour to Gates of the Arctic and Kobuk Valley national parks and couldn't have been happier with the experience! Julian was so thoughtful and helpful as I planned my trip, and our pilot made the day-of experience as smooth as possible. I also enjoyed learning about the landscapes below through the provided narration and getting to walk around the parks a bit myself. I got the opportunity to take a once in a lifetime trip with my father and uncle to Gates of the Arctic Kobuk national parks. Upon arrival to Kotzebue we arrived to Golden Eagle Outfitters. Julian welcomed us immediately as we arrived and was fully available to answer all of our questions about our trip. As my father and Uncle had originally set to go last year but were not able due to weather conditions Julian did everything possible to help accommodate all of us this season. We were immediately able to take our trip no questions asked and were treated incredibly well. We were escorted to our plane where we met one of the co-owners; and pilot Jarod who was equal to the task of helping all of his patrons prepare for our excursion. The flight out to gates of the arctic and kobuk were amazing. Landing within the middle of a riverbed and sand dune seemed daunting as we approached but Jarod’s experience and innate piloting made both landing and take off seamless and very enjoyable. Jarod took the time to answer all of our questions while at each site. Throughout the entire phase of the flight we felt very safe and well cared for and without a doubt this trip was life changing for my entire group. Without the excellent service by Golden Eagle Outfitters and the time spent setting up and executing this trip we would have not had such an amazing experience. Golden eagle outfitters provided a truly unforgettable experience! We got to fly to the two most remote national parks. Our pilot was knowledgeable and experienced. We did the Kobuk Valley and Gates of the Arctic flightseeing "Land, Walk, and Take It All In" tour and it was amazing. The sights were out of this world! The flight itself was a lot smoother than I expected and our pilot was fantastic! We saw muskox, moose, and bears and the beautiful sites of Kobuk Valley National Park, Noatak National Preserve, and Cape Krustenstern National Monument. This is definitely the company that you should use to fulfill your dream of visiting the northern most National Parks and Monuments in Alaska. Communication was great, the pilots both personable and highly experienced. We two seniors were able to land in both Gates of the Arctic and Kobuk Valley National Parks in one afternoon with enough time on the ground to walk a bit and take numerous great photos. We had the pleasure of flying to Gates of the Artic and Kobuk National Parks with Golden Eagle. Julian was great at communicating with us. Jim was our pilot, obviously has a lot of experience and we felt very comfortable throughout the flight. It was an incredible experience. On returning to base, Julian went out of his way to help us get on an earlier flight to Anchorage. Great team, would highly recommend.Load more
