Remote Wilderness Float Trips

Where the River Leads, the Wild Remains Untouched

There are few places left in the world where the wild flows freely. Alaska’s remote rivers wind through a landscape that hasn’t changed in centuries—a place where nature sets the rhythm and solitude is your only companion.
Golden Eagle Outfitters offers guided float trips that take you deep into Alaska’s backcountry, far beyond roads and crowds. These are immersive, multi-day journeys designed for those who seek raw beauty, self-reliance, and the thrill of true wilderness.

Begin Your Adventure in the Sky

Your float trip begins the moment your boots leave the ground.

Whether it’s views of boreal forest and mountain valleys, the peace of unadulterated water and wilderness, or the copious wildlife, you will not be disappointed. It’s just you, your group, and the water ahead. Depending on what you are looking for – fishing, hiking, solitude, or the combination of the three – give us a call and we can discuss options for your group.

Free-Flowing and Unfiltered Wilderness

Paddle through miles of pristine rivers for however long you want (hours, days, even weeks!). Drift through a vast stretch of Alaskan forestland, where time slows and every bend of the river reveals something new.

Fish crystal-clear waters filled with wild grayling—16 to 18 inches is the norm.
Camp under endless skies, with no one else around for miles.
Explore historic cabins from the gold rush era, now silent sentinels in the woods.
Travel light and low-impact, using Leave No Trace ethics to preserve the wild for generations to come.

Wildlife, Not Tourists

Out here, you won’t see tour buses or crowds. What you might see?
Moose stepping into the river at dawn
A caribou herd crossing open gravel bars
The shadow of a grizzly disappearing into the trees
A curious black bear foraging along the bank
Wolves—rare and unforgettable—watching from a distant ridge

With careful predator management and thriving ecosystems, this is one of the best places in the state for remote wildlife encounters.

Small Groups. Big Experience.

To keep the experience personal and preserve the land, we keep our float trips small and intimate.

However many guests you have, we can accomodate

Rent both canoe rafts and kayak rafts

Each raft holds up to 1,500 lbs of gear and supplies
At the journey’s end, we’ll meet you on a river bar for your return flight back to Delta Junction. Tired, satisfied, and likely forever changed.

More Than a Float Trip—It’s a Wilderness Rite of Passage

There are float trips, and then there are wilderness immersions. This is the latter. No cell service. No guide rails. Just a river, your team, and an untouched world whispering its ancient stories.

Whether you’re drawn by world-class fishing, rare wildlife, or the desire to disconnect and reset, this is your invitation to a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
